  1. Day 1

    Fort Lauderdale, USA

Port Everglades puts Fort Lauderdale within easy reach of the city’s waterways, beaches and cultural attractions. A short drive brings you to Las Olas Boulevard, where galleries, restaurants and boutiques line a walkable stretch. Visit the Bonnet House Museum & Gardens for a glimpse of old Florida, or head west toward the Everglades. Fort Lauderdale’s broad Atlantic beaches offer an easy counterpoint to the city’s lively dining scene.

  2. Day 8

    Ponta Delgada, Portugal

Ponta Delgada is the Azores’ Atlantic gateway, set on São Miguel, the archipelago’s largest island. Roads from the city lead to crater lakes, steaming fumaroles and the green caldera of Sete Cidades. In town, tiled churches and handsome squares reward an unhurried walk, while cafés serve local cheese and pineapple. Choose a scenic island drive, or explore the historic centre before returning to the waterfront.

  3. Day 11

    Vigo, Spain

Vigo is Galicia’s working Atlantic city, built around one of Europe’s finest natural harbours. From the quays, the old quarter climbs towards Castro fortress, with views across the Ría de Vigo. Follow Rua das Ostras for oysters opened to order, then browse the market and waterfront cafés. Beyond town, ferries reach the Cíes Islands, with white beaches and clear water inside a protected national park.

  4. Day 13

    Cherbourg, France

Step ashore in Cherbourg, a working harbour at Normandy’s northern tip, and find a city shaped by the sea. Its deep-water harbour has long anchored life here. The Cité de la Mer brings maritime history to life in a former transatlantic terminal. Beyond town, the Cotentin Peninsula offers quiet beaches, cider farms and stone villages. Cherbourg rewards time ashore, whether you follow the waterfront or explore the countryside.

  5. Day 14

    Southampton

Southampton is a working port with a rich maritime past. Walk its medieval city walls, then visit SeaCity Museum, where exhibits explore the city’s connection to the Titanic. The Mayflower began its 1620 voyage from Southampton, and the Titanic sailed from here in 1912. Beyond the waterfront, the New Forest’s heathland and Winchester’s cathedral make rewarding excursions.
