  1. Day 1

    Kangerlussuaq, Greenland

Kangerlussuaq is Greenland’s unlikely gateway: a small settlement set 190 kilometres inland at the head of a long fjord. Once a U.S. air base, it offers access to the ice sheet and guided excursions onto its immense white surface. Beyond town, tundra supports musk oxen and reindeer; nearby Russell Glacier reveals Greenland’s moving ice. Weather and distance shape every outing, so plan for conditions.

  2. Day 2

    At Sea (At Sea)

  3. Day 3

    Uummannaq, Greenland

Uummannaq sits on an island in northwest Greenland, north of the Arctic Circle. Above its colorful houses rises Mount Uummannaq, a distinctive heart-shaped peak reaching 1,170 metres. From the harbor, look across the fjord to glaciers and drifting icebergs. The local museum offers insight into life in this remote community, where fishing remains central. Step ashore for a vivid encounter with Greenlandic island life and a landscape of uncommon scale.

    • Fjord Cruising (Fjord Cruising)
  4. Day 4

    Storo Island Greenland (Scenic Stop)

  5. Day 5

    Kangersuatsiaq Island Greenland (Scenic Stop)

  6. Day 6

    Qaanaaq, Greenland

At Greenland’s far-north edge, Qaanaaq faces a world of sea ice, stark mountains and Arctic light. This small Inuit community sits beside Inglefield Fjord, where hunters still travel by dogsled when conditions allow. Visit the local museum to learn about life in the region and the 1953 relocation of its residents. Qaanaaq is remote, reached by limited flights, but rewards travelers with a direct encounter with Arctic life.

  7. Day 7

    Siorapaluk (Ask Travel Agent)

  8. Day 7

    Coastal Cruising (Coastal Cruising)

  9. Day 9

    At Sea (At Sea)

  10. Day 10

    Qeqertarsuaq, Greenland

Qeqertarsuaq, once called Godhavn, occupies Disko Island on Greenland’s west coast, beyond the usual reach of road travel. Founded in 1773, it grew around a sheltered harbour and the whaling trade. Today, its small, colourful settlement contrasts sharply with dark basalt cliffs and broad Arctic skies. Walk the waterfront, visit the historic church, or take a guided outing toward waterfalls and the Lyngmark Glacier. In summer, watch for whales offshore.

  11. Day 11

    Coastal Cruising (Coastal Cruising)

  12. Day 12

    Sisimiut, Greenland

Set just north of the Arctic Circle, Sisimiut is Greenland’s second-largest town and a working fishing port. Brightly painted homes rise above the harbor. Boats and fishing vessels keep the waterfront firmly connected to daily life. At Sisimiut Museum, historic buildings and collections reveal Inuit heritage and the town’s colonial past. From town, trails open onto Arctic landscapes of mountains, lakes and broad tundra.

  13. Day 13
